What makes a chronicle
History remembers the winners. Literature remembers the witness.
The classics are full of chroniclers — Defoe's castaway keeping his journal, Hardy's narrator at Jude's bedside, Gulliver correcting the official record. The Chronicles imprint carries that tradition forward: original works that record a life being lived, not a lesson being delivered.
